Am I The Only One Who Finds This Weird.?

Is this all the time, or just when someone screws up? I had to read this twice, but at first the whole thing was weird. "Damnit Darryl" was your grandpa telling himself 'you idiot, look what you did' and maybe that's what (his sons?) are doing now. It may also be a way of feeling close to (their father) or keeping him around. It would only be mean if the Darryl at the time is offended. It's between them so if they're cool just ignore it.
