Two questions about hurricane/tropical storm Ida?

Ida initially formed over the western Caribbean Sea. Ida moved inland over the southern U.S. early this morning with the center making first contact with the coast at Daulphin Island, Alabama. It was a weak tropical storm at that time and has pretty much dissipated now.
