Why do we wear clothes?

I've looked at the responses to this question a bit, but i don't think they gave a very full response. I know we wear clothes for protection against sun burns and cold (ect) but sometimes there are points when your air conditioning broke, or it's unbearably humid, but you can't take off your clothes. My brother and me were having an argument once With my sister. We said that cold was better, because there are only so many things you can take off. That's when i thought of this. I don't want to sound like a pervert, but i'd rather just take off my clothes than stand around in front of a fan all freaking day. And besides, that's how we were born, just like any other animal. It's more sanitary you might say. But what are our imune systems for, and taking showers for? Plus we have tons of medicine, unlike the other animals, and they survive without it. My last point is this, some people say thay wouldn't like it because it would be much easier to get hurt without clothes. SUCK IT UP. Everyone gets hurt. So why wear clothes?
