The swine flu shot...is it safe to get still?

Oka Im 12 in the 7th grade and I saw on the news last night about the woman who can't move her muscles foward anymore how come she can't? Is it because if the shot? Was she like taking strong medicine, then got the shot causing her to do this? Im really scared because every kid in our school has to have this shot, I know that this is sad and I know I wouldn't want anyone to be like that woman but I don't want to ever! So please help........Im sick with pneumonia right now so I can't even get it yet...... Thanks to anyone who answers!! Oh yeah and is there a way to puke everything up instead of coughing it up????? I don't like coughing but doctor said I have to!!!! ;(
