Should I get highlights if I have natural ones?

I naturally have reddish-brown hair (like my avatar) with some blonde hightlights (natural too, but not that noticable). I kinda wanted to get blonde highlights that are more noticible to make my hair look...idk less drab? (although I wouldn't call red hair drab). ANyways, what color highlights work best with red hair? Blonde?
