Shampoo and Conditioner for washing hair every other day?

I have fine hair and shoulder length hair. My stylist yesterday said that I need to start washing my hair every other day since my hair frizzes if i were to wash it everyday. I wondering to replace herbal essences with a different brand that will do a lot less damaging than H.E. Pantene and Garnier never works, I used head and shoulders twice, but not sure it's the idea shampoo for every other day and I'm not sure about Nexus because I only used it once for my unmanageable long hair. What other brands are there and should I use Nexus?
