Do u think its right 2 break up over a grade???

here's the thing...i have a D in pre algebra and my mom said if i had anything under a C- then id hafta break up with my bf!!!And i love him sooo flippin much and idk if he'd go back out with me if i have 2 break up with him!pleeez tell me what i should do!!!
