How can i be friends and help him?

hey so i'm an eighth-grader and i know this boy in 6 grade, he's nice but a little crazy but u know 6 grader O_^ but he's bad always getting in trouble, not paying attention,and sleeping in cl. He's nice but i dont know why he's like that he calls me his aunty(i'm not old) and always says hi and he asks me what's wrong alot when i look down, he's better than most of my friends(basically they're all fakers) so since he's nice i wanna help him stay out of trouble. But first i think i need to become "friends" with him but i'm not really good at that :P, and i've told him to stay out of trouble he just changes the subject O_O but what should i do to help him???
