I am 5' 4" and i have several degerating joints i am looking for a pair of pair of parabolic skis.?

I am 147 lbs. and the pair of skis i have now are 58 Inches long. I looked on the internet for ski size guidelines and i heard that the skis should not be shorter than chin length ( which is only 56 in.). Only a 2 inch difference. Do you have any advice for me. i will only ski the lower hills so i don't need a ski to perform under high speed, but i want them to be easier to turn and maneuver. thank you :-)
