What are the odds the bird lived?

I just posted something else about a baby bird. It was chirping in the yard behind me. It was between the fence and a tree, on the ground in the next yard. It chirped like that for several minutes. I went inside hoping the parents would somehow get it to fly back into the tree. A few minutes later I looked out and a bunch of birds were on the fence, squawking. Then I saw a cat slink from underneath a yard chair, and go up onto the porch. I think the cat got the bird. He wasn't in the same area of the bird, but in the yard. I went back out and checked the area where the bird had been grounded. He was gone and the stoped. Then I noticed there was a robin carrying worms into an area nearby, but outside of that yard, where some peeps where coming from. What are the odds that baby flew out of the yard and survived the cat?
